Enhanced Time Tracking Features Coming to Our Self-Service App
We’re thrilled to announce some exciting updates to our Self-Service App’s time tracking features, set to launch on mobile devices on February 23rd. These enhancements are designed to bring greater flexibility and accuracy to employee time tracking, particularly benefiting those with multi-site or remote work arrangements. Here’s a breakdown of what’s changing and what it means for your workforce:
- Multiple Clock Ins/Outs:
Previously restricted to a single clock in and out per day, employees will now have the flexibility to clock in and out multiple times throughout their workday. This feature is especially useful for employees who visit different locations during their shifts. It’s important to note that their usual clock-in location will still serve as the default. - Break Time Tracking:
We are introducing a new “Take a Break” feature, enabling employees to clock in and out for breaks. This addition ensures accurate tracking of work time and empowers employees to manage their breaks effectively, promoting productivity and well-being. - Onsite vs. Remote Clock-in:
To maintain compliance and accuracy, onsite employees will no longer have the option to clock in remotely. This functionality will remain available for hybrid and remote employees with designated remote workdays.
Action Required for HR Teams:
To facilitate a seamless transition for your employees, we recommend taking the following steps before the launch date:
- Review and Update Employee Work Modes:
Verify and, if necessary, update each employee’s work mode (onsite, hybrid, remote) in your HRIS system to ensure accurate access to remote clock-in functionality. - Communicate Changes to Employees:
Clearly communicate these updates to all employees, emphasizing any impact on their clock-in routines, especially for those who work across multiple sites or remotely. - Prepare for Questions:
Anticipate questions from employees regarding the new features and work mode requirements. Be prepared to guide them and address any concerns they may have.
Additional Resources:
We will be providing a comprehensive FAQ document and training materials for employees closer to the launch date.
Our support team is available to answer any questions you may have in the meantime.
By proactively addressing these steps, you can help ensure a smooth and successful rollout of these new time-tracking features for your employees. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in making this transition a positive experience for everyone involved.
