The Time and Attendance App, a customizable solution designed to align with your organizational policies, offers a seamless way to track and manage employee attendance. 1. Establish Employee Schedules in the BizEdge People App
Before diving into the setup of the Time and Attendance App, it’s essential to ensure that your employees’ schedules are accurately defined in the BizEdge People App. This includes specifying their resumption and closing times. This information will serve as the foundation for the attendance tracking process.
2. Specifying On-Site Clock-In Locations
One of the standout features of the Time and Attendance App is its ability to restrict on-site employees’ clock-ins to specific locations determined by your organisation. This enhances accuracy and prevents fraudulent clock-ins. Proceed to the People App settings and click on location to create your organization’s precise location.
3. Accessing the Time and Attendance App
To initiate the setup process, navigate to the BizEdge app dashboard. You will find the “Attendance App” prominently displayed. Click on it to enter the Time and Attendance App interface.
4. Configuring the Time and Attendance App Settings
Once within the Time and Attendance App, proceed to the “App Settings” section. Here, you will find a range of customizable options to tailor the app to your organizational requirements. They include:
- Lateness Policy: Specify the grace period for lateness by clicking Lateness Policy in the Attendance settings
- Clock-In Start Date: Set the date from which the Time and Attendance App will become operational. This ensures a seamless transition to the new attendance tracking system.
5. Employee Clock-In Process
With the Time and Attendance App now configured, your employees can begin clocking in using the employee self-service app called ‘MyEdge App’ for the designated on-site locations and also used for remote clock-in. The app provides a user-friendly interface, making the clock-in process simple and efficient.
6. Attendance Report
As an administrator, you now have access to real-time attendance data through the Time and Attendance App. Monitor employee clock-ins, identify trends, and address any discrepancies promptly.
